Gritty, Romance, Tragedy - almost Film Noir

Let me just see if I get this: -POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING -
Killer sees married woman whom he is infatuated with in booth who contacts her husband/police to the killer's whereabouts. The Killer knowing what she is doing, weeps (for her? pressurised by husband?) and walks knowingly to his final stand. The husband shoots killer, and woman weeps for either herself or the killer.

I love mysterious films, it brings back the romance.

This has to be one of the most grittiest, bloodiest, takes of a dystopic LA. Absolutely fantastic. The Author clearly knows how to contrast dead vs action scenes and creates an atmosphere of utter chaos.
